The House of Representatives Subcommittee on National Security, the Border, and Foreign Affairs recently held a hearing on The Risks of Progressive Ideologies in the U. S. Military. Witnesses gave a stark warning about America’s future if progressive Marxist ideology continues to infect and undermine its military as wokeness” now has been imported from civil society, thus affecting the U.S. military’s ability to recruit, train, and operate effectively in a dynamic threat environment that includes hot wars in the Middle East and Ukraine.

The Biden Administration has already announced its commitment to exposing the American people to deadly forms of diversity by signaling its push to place safety last for American passengers as the agency charged with overseeing airlines, plane makers, airports, and every other aspect of civil aviation in America has undertaken a diversity push meant to bring in workers whose inborn limitations make them plainly unsuitable for high-stakes, high-pressure roles.

The FAA is so committed to diversity and so uncommitted to passenger safety that it is especially interested in recruiting and hiring those suffering from severe intellectual disability, psychiatric disability, as well as those suffering from a whole host of other ailments. Evidently, “the severely intellectually disabled and the psychiatrically disabled (that’s a euphemism for crazy) will now be involved in making sure that planes don’t hit the ground or each other.”

This is simply a commitment to diversity that could literally kill us.

Now, wishing to infect the U.S. military with similar madness and not content with its dereliction of duty in protecting the American people from terrorists and sex traffickers exploiting America’s southern border, the Biden Administration wishes to extend its social experimentation by integrating principles of “diversity, equity, and inclusion” in the U.S. military.

The Biden Administration’s commitment to social experimentation is not grounded in empirical evidence proving that its diversity efforts are warranted. Instead, the Biden Administration exhibits its hatred of the United States, America’s republican form of government, and the nation’s  E Pluribus Unum foundational motto—which constitutes human history’s most successful diversity project. In addition, as I have shown elsewhere, the Biden Administration’s approach amounts to a dismissal of the fact that America has become a beacon of hope and a source of dreams without succumbing to either critical race theory or progressive ideology.

Instead of placing the safety of airline passengers at risk and putting the U.S. military in harm’s way by subordinating sound military preparedness to critical race theory, America’s ethnic differences must yield to one overriding objective: the common duty of all military officers and soldiers to protect America from all its enemies, both foreign and domestic.

It is time to restore the U.S. military by emphasizing meritocracy rather than identity and competence as opposed to social experimentation. This will ensure that the U.S. military remains a beacon of excellence that deters our enemies.
