As we warned you, the Biden Administration continues to demonstrate in a very short time that it is fully committed to supporting Planned Parenthood and the abortion industry, no matter how ghoulish its practices get.

Now President Biden has reportedly reversed a ban put in place by the Trump Administration to stop laboratories and universities from using aborted babies in taxpayer-funded research.

We just filed another lawsuit against the Biden Administration over this disturbing practice.

Remember when we told you that President Trump ended a disturbing contract between the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and a California university involving the use of aborted babies for disgusting experimentation? At the time we took action, filing a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request to expose the abortion industry when we learned it was using aborted babies’ body parts and fetal tissue for experimentation – under the guise of medical research – which sounded straight out of a bad science fiction movie:

Months ago we told you we issued a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request to uncover details about disturbing experimentation being conducted by NIH using the body parts of aborted babies. In conducting its research, the NIH has contracted with University of California San Francisco (UCSF), and the contract “requires UCSF to obtain body parts from unborn babies to make at least two types of ‘humanized mice.’

In a major victory for life, the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) under President Trump agreed with our arguments and ended a disturbing contract with a California university involving the use of aborted babies.

HHS released its own statement regarding its decision and what changes would go into effect, including the implementation of a review board for all research proposals:

As a result, HHS also initiated a comprehensive review of all HHS research involving human fetal tissue from elective abortions to ensure consistency with statutes and regulations governing such research, and to ensure the adequacy of procedures and oversight of this research in light of the serious regulatory, moral, and ethical considerations involved . . . .

Promoting the dignity of human life from conception to natural death is one of the very top priorities of President Trump’s administration. The audit and review helped inform the policy process that led to the administration’s decision to let the contract with UCSF expire and to discontinue intramural research – research conducted within the National Institutes of Health (NIH) – involving the use of human fetal tissue from elective abortion. Intramural research that requires new acquisition of fetal tissue from elective abortions will not be conducted.

That was a resounding win in our ongoing fight to defeat the soulless taxpayer-funded abortion industry and to defend the dignity of human life. Unfortunately, that was then.

And as we often say, elections have consequences.

Now President Biden has struck again, reversing yet another pro-life Trump Administration rule. As reported:

President Joe Biden’s administration has reversed former President Donald Trump’s ban on using aborted fetal tissue for taxpayer-funded research.

The National Institutes of Health announced Friday that “[the Department of Health and Human Services] is reversing its 2019 decision that all research applications for NIH grants and contracts proposing the use of human fetal tissue from elective abortions will be reviewed by an Ethics Advisory Board.”

Who in the world removes ethical considerations from scientific research? Any time in history this has happened, bad and very disturbing things have resulted. But we also warned you that President Biden’s new HHS Secretary, Xavier Becerra, would become the most pro-abortion HHS Secretary ever. And it didn’t take him long.

As we told you, Secretary Becerra quickly removed the need for review boards, speeding up the process of abortionists to sell their horrific wares.

One of the most disturbing parts about this is that the Biden Administration and HHS Secretary Xavier Becerra have reversed the decision that all research applications proposing the use of human fetal tissue from elective abortions be reviewed by an Ethics Advisory Board. We told you how Mr. Becerra has a long track record of radical hostility towards the pro-life community. Unfortunately, this is playing out exactly how we thought it would.

By lifting these commonsense, ethical regulations, the Biden Administration is actively reviving a market demand that the President’s friends at Planned Parenthood and other abortionists are only too happy to supply. Planned Parenthood invested millions in the Left’s political candidates last year, including President Biden himself. This is an opportunity for him to help the abortion giant recoup that money, and then some.

But the fight is far from over. We filed another FOIA request for all documents pertaining to the Biden Administration allowing aborted babies’ body parts in medical research and experimentation, and we specifically asked about the ethics board. But this Administration has not been responsive to our FOIA in any capacity. The question is why? What is it they don’t want us to see? What is President Biden and his team hiding?

The ACLJ just officially filed a lawsuit against the Biden Administration. We cannot allow this disgusting misuse of our taxpayer dollars to conduct experiments with aborted babies’ body parts to continue.

The Biden Administration can pretend to ignore us all they want, but the ACLJ is not going anywhere. And we will never drop it. So now we will see the Biden Administration in court. And unless their record is any better than the Obama Administration’s – and I doubt it – we will win. We are demanding absolute accountability from President Biden on this issue. Generations of Americans yet unborn deserve it.

There is no higher responsibility than defending the defenseless. Countless innocent, defenseless lives are on the line, counting on us. And that is yet another reason why the ACLJ, together with our members, are needed now more than ever.

We will continue to keep you informed as this case progresses.
