Washington Post Issues SHOCKING Warning Ahead of America’s 250th

Just how absurd is the mainstream media’s coverage of America’s 250th anniversary celebration?
The Washington Post reported that internal National Park Service documents warn that the planned fireworks will create “very unhealthy” air pollution around the National Mall and Washington, D.C.
Even celebrating our independence gets negative coverage by the mainstream media – especially if it’s being celebrated by the Trump Administration.
According to the report published by The Washington Post:
Fireworks for this year’s July Fourth celebration are expected to cause hazardous levels of pollution around the National Mall and “very unhealthy” conditions in central D.C., according to internal National Park Service documents reviewed by The Washington Post.
The show, billed by the Trump administration as the largest pyrotechnic display in history, will include some 850,000 fireworks in a roughly 40-minute show expected to start at 10:30 p.m. or 11 p.m., according to organizers. President Donald Trump will speak as part of the event, which marks the 250th anniversary of U.S. independence.
The combustion from large fireworks displays typically causes significant pollution because it generates fine particulate matter, also known as PM2.5. These small particles can penetrate deep into the heart and lungs, causing irritation and in some cases asthma attacks and other illnesses.
A draft air-quality analysis, based on the National Park Service’s modeling, states that people should “avoid prolonged exposure” to the pollution around the Mall. . . .
The analysis highlights best, worst and most likely scenarios based on wind conditions, humidity and other factors. . . .
Fireworks contain metals, such as copper, that help to create their vibrant colors but are hazardous to breathe when they enter the air, [George] Thurston said.
People with respiratory conditions can stay inside during the fireworks display and wait for the wind to blow away the smoke, he said.
The Park Service, in a separate document, similarly said that people should “wear an n95 mask when outdoors” and “remain indoors as much as possible during and after the show.”
Another internal document designed to take demographics in the area into account advises Park Service staff to “not treat race, ethnicity, income, disability, age, or language as risks by themselves.”
We are two days away from celebrating the 250th birthday of this country. And everywhere I go, people are decorating and getting prepared for this Fourth of July. Even retailers have ramped up the red, white, and blue for this historic 250th anniversary.
So, leave it to the Left-leaning mainstream media to try to rain on our Fourth of July parade.
First and foremost, no one is arguing that fireworks don’t have an adverse effect on the air quality in the immediate vicinity where they’re set off. In fact, that’s a no-brainer. The Washington Post might as well print another exclusive that it may be hard to breathe if you’re underwater too long.
But I can’t help but wonder about the real motivation behind this report, and the timing. We celebrate this event once a year. And for the 249 years since we declared independence, we’ve used incendiary devices to mark the birth of our country and pay tribute to the battles that were fought to secure our freedom. When they first read the Declaration of Independence in New York, they fired cannons into the air. There’s even a line in our national anthem that mentions “bombs bursting in air.”
But suddenly this year, under this Administration, the media is making an issue out of it. And worse, they’re trying to scare people away from celebrating our country.
They can’t just allow those of us who love this country to have a wonderful celebration without trying to tear it down. It feels like just another play in their weird “anti-Trump” playbook. First, they had a fit over the ballroom. Then they went after the reflecting pool. Now it’s our Independence Day celebration.
These far-Left extremists can’t stand patriotism. In fact, it seems the media’s current directive is to cast doubt over the future of our country altogether. It feels like some of them want America to fail.
This whole report feels like a desperate Hail Mary. As though they don’t know how else to try to make Americans hate their own country. Especially as the World Cup has inadvertently exposed most Americans for what we really are – good-hearted, welcoming people who love our country.
I understand it’s the media’s job, to some degree. But I also believe that the 250th anniversary of our nation is a special event, and I don’t understand why they can’t just let Americans enjoy it. Or better yet, join us at the party and be Americans themselves.
