Justice Alito Exposes “Concerted Effort” To Take Down SCOTUS

Justice Samuel Alito just appeared with Shannon Bream on Fox News Sunday to reveal some intense truths. He admitted, “There has been a concerted effort to intimidate the Court – and Justices on the Court – to try to influence us to decide cases differently from the way in which we have been deciding them, and I am concerned about the future of the Court.”

Alito also shared candid responses to several issues, including the leaked Dobbs opinion that led to so many death threats, and what the Court might look like in the future in light of potential Court packing plans we’ve all heard bandied about in recent years.

He even addressed the constantly swirling rumors about whether he would retire and shared his personal concern that a specific effort is underway to take down the Supreme Court as we know it.

Now here we are just a few weeks away from the first Tuesday in November – the 2026 midterm elections – and candidates from the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) are including dismantling the Supreme Court as part of their larger plan to completely remake our constitutional republic.

And this isn’t just conspiracy or paranoia. We told you how a spokesperson for the DSA stated clearly that they plan to abolish the Supreme Court.

We’re finding ourselves in a new world where we get to hear directly from Supreme Court Justices, which hasn’t always been common. In the past, it seemed like Supreme Court Justices were so revered, they were almost sacrosanct and had to be kept separate from the rest of us.

That no longer seems to be the case. And honestly, it’s about time, as while they should be held in high esteem, they still decide the laws of our land. So, at a time when the stakes feel considerably higher than they might have in the past, it’s good to hear what the Justices are thinking and feeling.

This also comes at a time when just a few years ago, some Justices were being doxed. They were also directly threatened and terrorized due to a leaked opinion that happened to involve one of the most sensitive topics in U.S. history, which was, of course, the overturning of Roe v. Wade. Most shocking was the assassination attempt against Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh over this highly divisive decision.

Justice Alito is right to be concerned about the future of the Court, especially when it’s being intimidated by people trying to influence, coerce, or straight-up intimidate them to vote in a way that’s different from what they believe the rule of law should be.

We’ve even seen longtime legislators like Senator Chuck Schumer (NY) make comments directed at Justice Gorsuch and Justice Kavanaugh: “You have released the whirlwind and you will pay the price. . . . You won’t know what hit you.” 

Irresponsible speech can have unacceptable consequences.

These are human beings with families. If the Supreme Court becomes compromised by radicals who use threats of violence and murder to get their way, then our entire republic has been compromised.
