Biden's Iran Dealings Called Out by 44 Members of Congress as Israel Begins Ground Operations Against Hamas

We warned you and now it’s happening: the conflict between our ally Israel and Palestinian terrorist group Hamas is only escalating. Overnight, Israeli military had to launch airstrikes on the Gaza Strip and have expressed intent to commence ground operations against the violence from Hamas.

It’s no secret that Iran – the number one state sponsor of terrorism – plays a big role in these attacks against Israel. Palestinian Islamic Jihad Official Ramez Al-Halabi even just openly admitted that the rockets used to strike Tel Aviv, the weapons, money, and food were all provided by Iran. And while we know Iran is almost certainly supporting Hamas in these attacks on Israel, members of the Biden Administration are still engaging in active negotiations with Iran in Vienna and considering handing over potentially providing billions of dollars in sanction relief.

Forty-four U.S. Senators have called on the President to end these negotiations with Iran and stand firm with Israel. As the letter from the Senators pointed out, Iran is a longtime financial and material supporter of Hamas.

Senator James Lankford (OK), one of the forty-four senators who addressed the President over this very issue, appeared on Sekulow and commented on why negotiating with Iran is the wrong move:

This is the exact same mistake the Obama Administration made. They said they were going to separate out the nuclear ambitions of Iran and the terrorists’ activities of Iran and just pretend those terrorist activities are not happening and say we just don’t want them to have a nuclear weapon. The problem with that is obviously we need to put sanctions and pressures on Iran and need to continue to be able to limit their access to dollars, because they use these dollars to fund terrorist groups like Hamas and Hezbollah. And to just ignore that and say we are going to relieve them from sanctions again because they are participating in nuclear talks doesn’t help us solve the issues in Israel and doesn’t slow down the rocket attacks coming into Israel. So, they need to back off and maintain sanctions and maintain pressure on Iran, so that they don’t continue these attacks on Israel.

ACLJ Senior Counsel for Global Affairs and former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, who has experience dealing with Iran, also appeared on the broadcast to discuss why we must immediately stop funding the Palestinian Authority (PA):

Look, in the first instance the responsibility for these terror attacks on the Israeli citizens belongs to Hamas and the Palestinian Islamic Jihad. They are responsible and they are the perpetrators. The Palestinian Authority and the West Bank has done nothing to stop it. But make no mistake – they are underwritten and supported militarily and financially by the Islamic Republic of Iran. While these rockets are landing on civilians in Israel, that are of Iranian origin, the United States is sitting at the table in Vienna negotiating to hand over billions of dollars in financial assistance to the very Iranian regime that is funding Hamas and Hezbollah and the Palestinian Islamic Jihad… We are providing money to the very people that are engaged in terror. This is deeply inconsistent with our commitment to Israel, and we need to stop immediately.

The United States – under the Biden Administration – must support our ally Israel and its right to defend itself. Instead, the Biden Administration is in talks to provide relief to a regime with a number one goal of destroying Israel – the same terrorists responsible for the violence against them.

As we told you, while rockets rain down on Jerusalem, the Biden Administration continues to fund the PA. But we will not allow your tax dollars to go to the PA – who directly supports terrorist organizations. We filed a lawsuit against the Biden Administration as it pushes to increase U.S. aid to the Palestinian Authority, even as they continue their “Pay for Slay” program and in spite of the limitations imposed by the Taylor Force Act.
