Biden FBI Refuses To Admit or Deny Facebook/Mark Zuckerberg’s Election Interference Claims – ACLJ FOIA Appeal Filed

President Biden’s FBI does not want to admit to interfering in elections.  But Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg has done it for them.  In an interview with Joe Rogan, he said:

The FBI, I think, basically came to us - some folks on our team - and was like, “Hey, just so you know, like, you should be on high alert…  We thought that there was a lot of Russian propaganda in the 2016 election. We have it on notice that, basically, there's about to be some kind of dump of that's similar to that. So just be vigilant.”

As a direct result, Facebook suppressed and limited the reach of the Hunter Biden laptop story just days before the 2020 election. Subsequent polling has indicated that had such information (which turned out to be true) been more public, it could have changed the outcome of the presidential election.  That is REAL election interference, but now the FBI looks to be covering it up.

At the ACLJ, we took Zuckerberg’s statement seriously and sent a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request to the FBI.  It asked for, amongst other things:

All records of communications between the FBI’s Director, Deputy Director, Chief of Staff, General Counsel, or any of their senior staff or assistants, or of any other FBI official of a GS-14 or appointee level or higher, with Facebook personnel (including forwarded email messages or CC or BCC email messages), about being on “high alert” or otherwise indicating in any way that the FBI wanted Facebook to censor or limit distribution of information in connection with an election, including but not limited to stories or information about Hunter Biden.

On October 3, 2022, the FBI sent back what is called a Glomar Response (in which the agency neither admits nor denies the existence of certain records), which read:

The mere acknowledgement of the existence of FBI records on third party individuals could reasonably be expected to constitute an unwarranted invasion of personal privacy.

“Embarrassing to who?” is a question that springs to mind.

The Response did not answer the requests for “information in connection with an election” that does not include Hunter Biden . The FBI refused to address ANY and ALL of the records demands we presented in our FOIA and closed our FOIA file (kind of like the FBI tried to close the file on the Hunter Biden investigation itself).

We’re not going to let them get away with it. In order to continue our investigation into the Deep State FBI’s election interference, we had to file an Administrative Appeal.  We did so on November 3, 2022, and the FBI has until November 22, 2022, to answer. The next step will, in all likelihood, be a lawsuit. But we will never stop fighting to protect the integrity of our elections and to hold the Deep State accountable in court for its actions.

The safety and security of our constitutional republic is at stake. We’re the last line of defense. But as we go to court, take action with us to defeat the Deep State.
